Catch the fireworks
With splendid displays of fireworks at the city's world-famous landmarks, New Year's Eve celebrations are always a grand affair in Dubai. This year, Burj Khalifa will no doubt be a show-stopping centrepiece as stunning fireworks, lights and lasers flash across the Downtown sky. Head down to Dubai Mall early to secure your viewing spot at the Dubai Fountain promenade, or book a prime table at one of the many restaurants. Other spots to watch the night sky light up include Bluewaters Island, Dubai Festival City Mall and Atlantis, The Palm.

Book a yacht party
Spend a spectacular New Year's Eve gliding along the moonlit waters of Dubai, and watch in awe as fireworks light up the city. Gather your friends and charter a yacht with Xclusive Yachts to plan your very own intimate party complete with tailored menus, or hop aboard one of Amwaj Al Bahar's luxury vessels and let their expert staff take charge. Just make sure to call in advance if you're planning a bespoke experience.
Celebrate Bedouin-style
Escape the city
Venture to the great outdoors for a tranquil celebration. Hatta, an exclave by the scenic Hajar Mountains, offers nature and adventure enthusiasts both picturesque views and numerous activities to indulge in. Head to the Hatta Wadi Hub adventure centre for mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and other active pursuits, or slow down the pace and explore the area's most popular cultural attractions such as Hatta Fort and Heritage Village. Afterwards, camp under the stars – or stay in one of a myriad of resorts – and wake up to a brand new year.
